Hello my name is Joanne and I am the maker behind The Perfect Poodle. The name is a nod to my love affair with poodles—elegant, intelligent, and full of personality. Much like the pieces I create, poodles embody charm, refinement, and individuality.
My passion for vintage influences everything I do – from the clothes I wear to how I decorate my home. I love to work with fabrics that have a story, a history, and a charm you simply can’t replicate.
My love for vintage truly comes alive during Christmas. I’ve been gathering vintage decorations for more than 30 years. This cherished collection brings so much joy and I spend the month of November transforming my home into a nostalgic, Christmas wonderland. From time to time, select pieces from my collection are offered for sale.
Sewing allows me to blend creativity, craftsmanship, and sustainability into pieces that feel personal and purposeful.
What began as a passion has grown into a small business rooted in pride, patience, and quality. I’m based in a village in North Norfolk, UK and I create and sew in “The Parlour”, a studio in my garden – my favourite place to be.
